Small changes for everyday safety

Stepping over a high tub wall, standing on a slick surface or reaching for a towel bar for balance are everyday risks in many bathrooms. Accessibility upgrades focus on those specific moments. A CleanCut tub step lowers the entry into an existing tub, non-slip systems add traction to the standing surface, and properly installed grab bars give a secure handhold.

Jet deletion removes the jets from an old whirlpool tub so the tub can be used and cleaned like a standard bathtub. These upgrades can be combined with tub refinishing so the bathroom looks finished, not patched. Tell us who uses the bathroom and what is difficult today; that matters more than any product name.

Accessibility upgrades we offer

  • CleanCut tub step systems
  • Clear non-slip systems
  • Permanent non-slip surfaces
  • Grab bar installation
  • Jet deletion
  • Aging-in-place planning

These upgrades are not presented as a substitute for medical or occupational-therapy advice. If a care provider has recommended specific features, include those recommendations in your request.

Our repair-first process

  1. 1. Discuss how the bathroom is used. Who uses it, what is difficult today, and whether a caregiver assists.
  2. 2. Repair first. We repair before we restore. The tub, wall and mounting locations are evaluated so upgrades are installed on sound surfaces.
  3. 3. Install and finish. Tub steps, non-slip systems, grab bars or jet deletion are completed, often alongside refinishing.
  4. 4. Confirm the details in writing. Before work begins, ask for written pricing, scheduling, the coating-specific return-to-use instructions and the LIMITED workmanship warranty terms that apply to your property.

What to include in your estimate request

  • A wide photo of the tub or shower and the wall around it
  • The tub material and whether it has jets
  • Where a grab bar would help, and the wall material there
  • Who uses the bathroom and any care-provider recommendations
  • Your ZIP code and preferred contact time

The estimate form asks for your name, phone, project type and ZIP first. Photos and extra details can be added in the optional next step.

Pricing, timing & warranty

No fixed price or cure time is promised on this page. Pricing is provided in writing after the surface is assessed. Curing and return-to-use depend on the coating selected for your project; follow the written ILS instructions for that coating.

ILS offers a 5-year LIMITED workmanship warranty for fully owner-occupied residential properties only: the homeowner lives there and no part is rented. A 1-year LIMITED workmanship warranty applies to all rental and commercial properties, including owner-occupied homes with any portion rented to tenants. Coverage is for eligible adhesion/delamination, subject to the written warranty terms and exclusions.

Frequently asked questions

What is a CleanCut tub step?
It is a tub step system that lowers part of the existing tub wall to make stepping in and out easier, without replacing the tub. Suitability depends on the tub and is confirmed during the assessment.
Can non-slip be added to a refinished tub?
Clear and permanent non-slip systems are offered. Ask which option fits your tub and finish during the estimate.
Can you remove the jets from my whirlpool tub?
Jet deletion is one of our specialty services. Include photos of the jets and the tub’s access panel if it has one.
How long before I can use the surface again?
Curing and return-to-use depend on the coating selected for your project. Follow the written ILS instructions for that coating before using the surface.
